Lockdown 3.0 & New Government Support for Businesses

Entering the 3rd Lockdown

Following the Government’s announcement to commence a new national lockdown, please be assured that MATCH Accounting continues to work as usual from home. Although there will not be as much adjustment to the new working arrangements, we thank you in advance for your patience as we adjust to them.
All of our normal lines of communication are open, and the office line has been diverted to a member of the team.

Should you need to drop off any documents, please let us know beforehand.
There is a post box for the building by the side of the main entrance. Make sure you put all documentation in envelopes or closed packaging clearly marked for MATCH Accounting.
Once you let us know, we’ll arrange for these to be collected and actioned.


£4.6 Billion In New Lockdown Grants To Support Businesses And Protect Jobs

The Chancellor announced one-off top up grants for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses worth up to £9,000 on a per-property basis to support businesses through the latest restrictions.

The one-off top-ups will be granted to closed businesses as follows:

• £4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
• £6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
• £9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000
• any business which is legally required to close, and which cannot operate effectively remotely, is eligible for a grant

A further £594 million is also being made available for Local Authorities and the Devolved Administrations to support other businesses not eligible for the grants, that might be affected by the restrictions. Businesses should apply to their Local Authorities.
